Welcome letter - 130th IATP Conference

Dear Delegate,

Welcome to our 130 IATP Conference.

We would like to thank our Airline Member, EGYPTAIR, for hosting the event. We are glad to finally be back in Egypt, and welcome you all to Cairo, the city of a thousand minarets!

Let us also thank all the Sponsors which contributed to this conference; we all look forward to enjoying the sponsored events.

At the February 2024 Conference, IATP Membership has reached another record of 133 Airline and 43 Associate Members. At this conference, new Airline Members will join the organization; we warmly welcome them, as well as all first-time attendees and Observer Airlines, which we kindly invite to attend the introductory sessions scheduled on Sunday and Monday.

For Members’ newcomers or delegates willing to refresh their knowledge, an “IATP Platform Overview, Enhancement & Q&A” session is scheduled on Tuesday afternoon; please bring your laptop for this interactive session during which IATP Corporate Office team will be available to answer all your operational questions.

We take the opportunity to remind you that in February 2024, and after a lot of efforts, IATP, launched a new pooling section: it is the “engine pooling”.

With this introduction IATP wanted to extend the possibility to support the Member Airlines with an asset, complex, of huge value and not yet familiar in our large family. The IATP goal with this newest pooling section is to help the IATP member Airlines to resolve quickly, efficiently and with competitive fees unscheduled engine removals.

Airlines not equipped of spare engines or engaged with expensive or slow-responsive leasing agreements, may choose to participate an engine with or without guaranteed availability. If this last option is selected, upon payment of a monthly fee, an engine may be shipped within 24 hours from the initial request.

Certainly, to be set-up, this service requires pre-arrangements, however all advanced efforts are well rewarded by the easy and quick engine shipment, while in an AOG. Please consider the IATP Engine pooling opportunity!

Finally, we kindly remind all Members about the importance to attend both General Assemblies (1 & 2) in order to be counted as “present”. If your Airline representatives are unable to participate in any of the General Assemblies, please make sure to be represented by Proxy; a Proxy Form is available on the IATP Platform under “Online Forms”.
